It’s been snowing/sleeting throughout the day. The next lesson in my CMA study program is shorter than yesterday’s, and I finish the material by early afternoon. My walking buddy CJ isn’t available today, but I’m determined to get out of the apartment anyway. I download a few podcasts to listen to while I walk, don my headphones and bundle up in my heavier coat and knit hat. Along the way, I continue to practice photography of statues and other details of the Dublin urban landscape.

On the way back to the apartment, I stop into the Lidl grocery shop on a whim and pick up a few impulse items. I end up clocking in 8,500+ steps over 2+ hours, including a few stops, which is a lot more than the past few days. Here’s a map referencing the locations I’ve mentioned:
Back home, I pick the laptop up again and crank out a job application — it’s another blind recruiter posting, but apparently their client is an “internationally recognised educational institution” (Trinity College Dublin perhaps?), so I figure I might have a chance of being interviewed given my work experience at the University of California. However, like almost all the job postings I’ve seen for finance/accounting roles, having an accountancy qualification is essential. At least now I can add “CMA candidate” to my CV/resume, for whatever that’s worth.
New COVID-19 cases reported today in Ireland have dropped to 556, the lowest since mid-December. Good to know that the strict lockdown restrictions are at least working!
Until next time….
