Uneventful Saturday – missed post

Saturday has been very uneventful. The weather is greyer, which gives me a good excuse to stay in and do some practise exams for my CMA study programme. This past week I finished the 2nd section of part 1, and in order to proceed to the next section I have to score 86% on 50 random multiple choice questions. My first run-through takes about 1.5 hours. I fall short by one question with a result of only 84% — frustrating, but still not bad for an initial run. I study up on a couple of topics and then re-start another 50 questions (randomly selected from a “test bank”, so not all repeats). This time it takes me just under 2 hours, or about 2:20 minutes per question, and I score a passing 92%. For the real exam, there will be 100 multiple choice questions that must be completed in 3 hours, so only about 1.5 minutes per question. Many are conceptual questions that only a few seconds to answer, but the ones that require multiple calculations eat up a lot of time. Having passed the practice exam successfully, I spend the rest of the afternoon and evening relaxing, reading some articles online, and watching TV.

I realise that I missed the deadline for today’s post, which is an hour earlier right now since Ireland hasn’t started daylight savings time yet. Oh well, obviously there’s not much to talk about today… I don’t even have any photos to share.

Until next time…
