Baby Yoda! and history underfoot at the grocery store

The first episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 drops this morning. I re-watched all of season 1 last night in anticipation. I’m ready with my fan tshirt, bring on more Baby Yoda!

I’m waiting to watch it until my friend J comes over later to hang out this afternoon. Meanwhile, the SuperValu delivery arrives around 11:00am. The delivery person is Ciarán, the same older man from my first couple or orders, we have a brief friendly exchange. About half an hour a later, the intercom buzzes — it’s An Post delivering the new projection clock I ordered on Amazon.co.uk. I had tried using batteries in the projection clock I shipped over, but I think the low-wattage power converter fried it. Oh well.

I was surprised to see this article about Lidl, a German grocery chain, that just opened a new location October 15 not far from my apartment. The store features two plexiglass windows in the floor that show ruins of a 11th-century house and 18th-century staircase. I had noticed the windows but didn’t realize their significance.

I didn’t take any pics myself, but here are a couple from Lidl’s Twitter feed.

My friend J arrives. We’re planning on watching the new Mandalorian episode then some of the Scream movies for some early Halloween fun. That’s all for now.
