I survived the second CMA exam today. It was about as gruelling as the first one, and the 4 hours went by more quickly than you’d think. I finished all the multiple choice questions but had to guess on a few due to time constraints. The essay / short-answer questions were straightforward. The standard turnaround for results is 6 weeks after the end of the month of the exam, which would be mid-September, but given that the end of current exam period was extended from June 30 to July 14 perhaps they might be available sooner. At the moment, I’m just glad it’s over!
After getting home, I poured myself a Guinness and unwound a bit. Then I finally opened up the email I received earlier this week with the results from the 1st exam I took back in May…. I PASSED!!! My score was 360 out of 500, which is the minimum needed to pass, which is totally fine by me.
On the way home I walked down the pedestrian shopping district of Henry / Mary Street (it changes name arbitrarily somewhere in the middle). Today’s high temperature in Dublin was 73 F / 22 C, so warm but offset somewhat by a gusty wind. I was glad I wore shorts to the exam, otherwise I probably would have been uncomfortable. It seems everywhere around town there are baskets of flowering summer plants hanging on lampposts and buildings.
Until next time….
