It’s been a relaxing Sunday. A warm front is moving in, with showers on and off throughout the day. Tomorrow the skies are supposed to clear up, with highs in the low 60s F / mid to upper 10s C — the warmest it’s been since my arrival last October. My friend CJ and I are tentatively planning a small outing to take advantage of the nicer weather.
Today my friend J comes over to hang out. He’s a big foodie so it’s fun to try new things together. We stop by the nearby Asian market to browse through various instant noodle flavours — not your typical ramen. Later on we order again from the Korean fried chicken restaurant that we had a few weeks back. This time I order a chicken sandwich with kimchi and a ssamjang / cheddar cheese sauce. Very tasty!
The number of daily new COVID-19 cases in Ireland continues to stay around the 500-600 level, and even seems to be ticking up a little. It’s frustrating that the strict lockdown hasn’t been more successful. At this point, it seems like things won’t get any better until more vaccines are rolled out, which will still take months.
Until next time….
