Walk to Rathmines and Harold’s Cross

Today brings bright blue sky with some patchy clouds. My walking buddy CJ and I meet up for a walk down to Rathmines for lunch and then a stroll over to the Harold’s Cross neighbourhood which I haven’t seen yet. Lunch is back at Hush, one of my favourite finds. This time I  tried a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, which was tasty, and CJ tried the pulled pork spice sandwich I had last time — I think that’s still the best.

By the time we get back to Temple Bar, we’ve clocked in almost 12,000 steps! Here’s a map for reference:

I’ve continued to have aches and pains in my lower back and shoulders from sleeping on an IKEA bed, and my T bands have been tight and sore from long walks. Since I can’t get a massage, I’ve been eyeing percussion massagers and finally decided to splurge on one… it’s a Theragun, which is known for being the best brand. It’s even sold on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop marketplace for ridiculous luxury items, which makes me cringe, but at least I didn’t get the gold embellished model (which is sold out anyway).

I try it out after getting back from my walk, and it feels great! I still need to learn all the techniques, grips, and uses for the different head attachments. It’s a nice reward for keeping up my walks.

Until next time….
